Does Currents work offline?

Yes. Every feature works without an internet connection. Catches, spots, gear, and forecasts are all stored locally on your device.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to any server. You can optionally back up to your personal iCloud Drive.

How do I back up my data?

Go to Profile > Data > Backup to iCloud. You can also export all data as CSV files for safekeeping.

How does the fishing forecast work?

Currents combines weather data, solunar tables (moon phase and position), tide information, and barometric pressure to calculate an hourly bite-quality score.

Can I transfer data to a new phone?

Yes. Use iCloud backup/restore, or export your data as CSV and import on the new device.

Is Currents free?

Yes. Currents is free and open-source.
